Formerly Executive Director of the Scottish Catholic International Aid Fund and now Head of International Relations with Caritas Internationalis in Rome, Duncan MacLaren said that the Church in general was listened to because it combined a moral vision with a sound analysis of our world which put the poor and human dignity first.
