From: Bishops' Conference of Scotland

It was with great sadness, that the Bishop's of Scotland learned of the appalling events in the United States today.

We, wish to send our deepest condolences to the American government and people, especially the citizens of New York, Washington and Pittsburg and
all those directly affected by these atrocious and senseless acts.

Prayers will be said at all masses in Scotland on Sunday (16 September), for those who have died, their family and their friends.

Mass, which will be attended by all the Scottish Bishops, at Scotus College, Glasgow on Wednesday morning (12 September) will be offered for all those
involved.
