The Catholic Church in Scotland will celebrate a "Day for Life" on Monday 31 May 2004.

A range of resources and materials have been sent to all parishes for distribution at all Masses during the weekend
of 29/30 May.

A dedicated website containing this material will shortly be available at:

Among the publications available are 100,000 copies of a "Day for LIfe" prayer card, the text of which is shown below:

Life is an opportunity, benefit from it.
Life is beauty, admire it.
Life is bliss, taste it.
Life is a dream, realise it.
Life is challenge, meet it.
Life is a duty, complete it.
Life is a game, play it.
Life is a promise, fulfil it.
Life is sorrow, overcome it.
Life is a song, sing it.
Life is a struggle, accept it.
Life is an adventure, dare it.
Life is luck, make it.
Life is too precious, do not destroy it.
Life is Life, fight for it!
