The Bishops' Conference of Scotland have announced the appointment of a new Rector and a new Vice-Rector for the Scots College in Rome

The Holy See has appointed Father Paul Milarvie as Rector of the Scots College and the Bishops' Conference have appointed Father Francis Dougan as vice-Rector.

Fr Paul Milarvie currently holds the post of Vice Rector and so will remain in Rome, while Father Dougan will transfer from Our Lady and St. Anne's Parish in Hamilton later this month.

Commenting on his appointment, Fr Dougan who is also chaplain to Holy Cross High School in Hamilton said: "It is exciting but a
bit daunting at the same time. I pray that I am up to the challenge.
Although glad to face this future challenge I will be sad to leave the
parish and school."

Bishop Devine said "while immensely sorry to lose a priest such as Fr
Frank, I know he will be an excellent addition to the staff of Scots College
and a great support to the new Rector Fr Paul Milarvie."
