The Requiem Mass for Jimmy Johnstone will take place at St. John the Bapist Church, Uddingston on Friday 17 March 2006 at 10am. The Principal Celebrant will be the Rt. Rev Joseph Devine, Bishop of Motherwell.  

Arrangements have been made to accommodate the media in a limited number of places, inside and outside the church. You are invited to send a reporter/photographer/camera crew.  

To secure a place please email The Catholic Media Office (mail@scmo.org) by 14.00 on Thursday 16 March.  

A line-level audio feed will be provided by the BBC (Contact: Denis Kearfley- 07976 171090) and made available to all broadcasters.  

An embargoed copy of Bishop Devine's homily will be available from The Catholic Media Office on Thursday afternoon.
