WEDNESDAY 11 DECEMBER 2013  Pope Francis appoints new bishop of DunkeldPope Francis has today appointed bishop Stephen robson, currently Auxiliary bishop of the Archdiocese of St. Andrews and Edinburgh as the new bishop of Dunkeld.  bishop robson will replace bishop Vincent Logan who stood down as bishop of Dunkeld after almost 30 years in December 2010 on health grounds. Tuesday 8 May 2012  Pope Benedict XVI has today appointed the Very Reverend Monsignor Stephen robson as the new Auxiliary bishop of the Archdiocese of St. Andrews and Edinburgh. The new bishop will assist Cardinal Keith O Brien in the administration of the diocese. The diocese last had an Auxiliary bishop in 1996 and the appointment reflects Cardinal O Brien s national responsibilities and his international role as a member of a number of Pontifical Councils in Rome.Commenting on the appointment Cardinal O Brien said; I have known the new Auxiliary bishop, Mgr Stephen robson for well over 35 years. bishop Stephen robson, the bishop of Dunkeld, delivered the Time for Reflection in the Scottish Parliament today (Tuesday 15 December) at 2pm.   In his address he said that cultural change has arguably been Scottish Society’s greatest challenge in the last decade. Fr James Walls, currently parish priest of St. Pius X parish in Dundee, has been appointed by the Scottish bishops’ Conference as Spiritual Director of the Pontifical Scots College in Rome.      Commenting on the appointment, bishop Stephen robson, the bishop of Dunkeld said:       “I am absolutely delighted that the bishops have decided to appoint Father James Walls as spiritual director to the Pontifical Scots College in Rome. The Episcopal Ordination of Fr William Nolan as the new bishop of Galloway will take place at the Grand Hall, Kilmarnock on Saturday 14 February 2015 at 11am. Fr.
